Honey Soy Glazed Salmon

A simple mix of honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger coats and flavors your fish for 30 minutes before you throw it on the pan until the outside is perfectly crispy.

This is a great sweet and salty way to serve salmon. Easy enough for the beginner and a family favorite!

SERVES 4

INGREDIENTS

600g Takitimu Salmon
Cooked rice, to serve
1 bunch of broccolini
½ bag frozen edamame beans, defrosted

Honey Soy Dressing

1 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
1 ½ tbsp honey
1 ½ tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp finely grated ginger
2 tsp sesame oil

METHOD

Line an oven tray with baking paper and preheat oven gril to high with the rack in the middle of the oven.

In a bowl, mix all the honey soy dressing ingredients together and set aside.

Pat the salmon dry and place skin-side down on the pre lined pan. Evenly coat salmon pieces with half the honey soy dressing (keep the other portion for the vegetables). Grill for about 6 minutes, or until cooked to your liking.

Heat some oil a large frypan or wok on high heat. Stir-fry the vegetables for 5-6 minutes. Add the remaining honey soy dressing and toss to coat the vegetables. Allow to reduce for about 30 seconds, then remove from heat.

To serve

Place the rice in bowls and top with the stir-fried vegetables and a piece of salmon.
