Indigenous to New Zealand and common in colder waters, South of the Cook Strait and notably caught in the Chatham Islands. Loved by many, a prized, high value fish. Nothing quite compares to New Zealand Blue Cod. Suitable for most cooking methods including baked, fried, grilled, steamed, curried & sautéed. Very popular as a whole cooked fish too.
